Restaurant Süllberg · Hamburg - Blankenese

Thursday
8 October
2009
(1830 - 2400)
The
suburb of Blankenese with its Mediterranean flair
is one of the most attractive areas of the Hamburg vicinity. The
picturesque little dwellings, originally the homes of sea captains
and river pilots are built in this hilly area and can only be reached
by stairways and small footpaths; someone once claimed to have counted
4,864 steps here.

On
a small hill at the banks of the river Elbe the
Süllberg Restaurant has a history which goes
back some hundred years ago. It has been renovated recently and
is now one of the best restaurants in town. The stunning view over
the river Elbe and the excellent cuisine makes this restaurant an
unforgettable place for elegant parties.

Coaches
will bring the delegates and their acc. persons to the restaurant,
passing the famous Elbchaussee and the UN
International Tribunal of the Laws of the Sea.

Sound-Demo
"Opus One"
After
a top cuisine dinner the "ATLAS Underwater BigBand"
with 21 musicians will bring guests to the dance floor
with its Glen Miller style of music. The band is
unique comprising enthusiastic musicians who are experienced but
non-professionals. They all work in the shipping industry in Bremen
(Atlas Elektronik) and play for fun, not for money: all of their
remuneration goes to charity.
